Metropolitan Ballet Academy offers a wealth of summer study. Programs for pre-ballet, beginning, intermediate and advanced level students include classes in ballet, pointe, men’s technique, variations, partnering and repertoire, as well as character, modern, and jazz. In addition to our superb faculty, summer study features a wide variety of exciting guest artists of both local and national/international acclaim.
Dance, gymnastics, crafts, and fun! Summer programs designed for children ages 5-6. Children will discover the visual and movement arts through Dance Canvas.
Beginning (Level 1 & 2) and Intermediate I (Levels 2x, 3). Classes in ballet technique, pre-pointe, pointe, contemporary, character dance and conditioning. Students participate in two classes per day, Monday through Friday.
Our rigorous Summer Intensive program features renowned teachers from the U.S. and abroad, offering classical training and unique learning experiences in ballet and beyond. Classes are offered in ballet technique, men’s ballet technique, pointe, partnering, modern, jazz, character dance and conditioning. Students participate in four classes per day, Monday through Friday.
During the final days of Summer Intensive: Intermediate and Advanced classes focus on contemporary techniques including modern, floorwork, partnering, contemporary phrasework and more. Met’s Artistic Associate, Sarah Mettin, has created a dynamic roster of top teaching talent for a high-energy, exploratory week to stretch your mind, body and soul.
