Summer Intensive Workshops & Master Classes

Metropolitan Ballet Academy hosts a pre-summer Master Class Series, an inspiring and challenging 5–week summer dance program, Children’s Camps and Academic Enrichment Programs!

The Bridge: June 6-12, 2018

A master class series for intermediate and advanced dancers designed to bridge the time period between the student’s academic year curriculum and the start of intensive summer study.

Summer Intensive: July 9-August 10, 2018 (choose one or all five weeks)

MBA’s Summer Intensive features renowned teachers from the U.S. and abroad, offering classes in ballet technique, men’s ballet technique, pointe, variations, partnering, modern, jazz, and character dance. Students participate in four classes per day, Monday through Friday.

MBA is excited to partner with Manor College to offer residential housing during weeks 3-4 (July 23-August 3, 2018). Female students ages 11-15 will enjoy comfortable accommodations in St. Josaphat Residence hall at Manor College, located just four blocks from MBA’s studios.  Accommodations with gracious host families are available for male students (all five weeks) and for female students (weeks 2 and 5).

Special guest artists to include Vladimir Bykov, Etienne Diaz, Mayara Pineiro, Abi Stafford, Patrick Coker, Anne Souder and more.

Winter Workshop

Metropolitan Ballet Academy’s annual Winter Workshop gives students the opportunity to study with some of the region’s most celebrated professional dancers and teachers. Classes are offered in multiple disciplines, including dance history, lighting design, costume design, ballet, modern, jazz and tap.
