Metropolitan Ballet is dedicated to the highest ideals of artistic skill, personal growth, educational enrichment, and life and career preparation.
Metropolitan Ballet Academy & Company provides classical and contemporary dance training for ages 3-18. A nationally recognized school, Metropolitan blends professional expertise with a genuine sensitivity to children and teens. Our broad and proven curriculum builds a classical foundation for dancers ready to excel in any dance form. At all levels, dancers are immersed in the creative process with multiple opportunities
to perform. Advanced dancers join our pre-professional training program and Company,
and many go on to professional dance careers.
Metropolitan supports emerging choreographers, provides scholarships and, through community outreach, promotes a love and appreciation of dance. Metropolitan is committed to ensuring that dance is relevant, exciting and accessible for people of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds. Metropolitan Ballet Academy & Company is a growing, innovative and vibrant cultural resource for our home communities of Jenkintown, Abington, Cheltenham, Elkins Park, Glenside, Huntingdon Valley, Rydal, Willow Grove, and the Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Bucks County regions.

Named as “one of seven local studios in the nation cultivating top talent,” by Pointe magazine, Metropolitan is a four-time winner of YAGP’s Outstanding School Award, and recognized with Philadelphia Arts + Business Council's Leadership Award.
Metropolitan produces dancers who are recognized for their ability to perform with the confidence and joy that comes from excellent training. Rigorous rehearsals and choreographic invention, with an emphasis on student involvement in the creative process, lead to exuberant performances that set us apart and produce remarkable results.
