Designed to introduce dance to young audiences

Designed to introduce dance to young audiences and launched in 2003, the community has enthusiastically embraced this series. This season, we will present a company premiere of Coppélia. A life-size dancing doll, a mysterious inventor, a zesty heroine and her true love all cross paths in this light-hearted comic ballet.

A program in collaboration with the Settlement Music School

Join us for this outstanding program of music and dance in collaboration with Settlement Music School. 17 Settlement Music School students will perform with Metropolitan Ballet’s 30-member classical dance company in a 90 minute tour de force, featuring musical ensembles, soloists, original works for dancers and musicians, and three exciting contemporary dance works by NYC choreographers, Carlos dos Santos, Kanji Segawa,and MBC alumna Sarah Mettin.

2012 June Showcase
Saturday, June 2 & Sunday June 3

Metropolitan Ballet Company (MBC) presents repertoire works and joins students from our parent school, Metropolitan Ballet Academy, in Artistic Director Lisa Collins Vidnovic’s full length ballet, A Medieval Fantaisie, drawn from the enchanted life of King Arthur. These are high-quality, professional level performances open to the community. With 402 seats, The Muller Auditorium in Abington, Pennsylvania provides an ideal, intimate setting.
