Metropolitan Ballet Company will open its season on Saturday, November 21st and Sunday, November 22nd with two exciting new productions. The family-oriented program will feature a company premiere of Fancy Nancy: Bonjour, Butterfly, based on the bestselling storybook by Jane O’Connor, and a world premiere of the fairytale classic Hansel & Gretel by noted New York City choreographer Kanji Segawa. These magical story ballets, brought to life with exuberant dancing, will delight children of all ages.

Metropolitan Ballet has received national acclaim over the past four years for its performances at the prestigious Regional Dance America festival. Previous ballets in MBC’s Family Concert Series have included The Rainbow Fish, Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse, Peter Pan, and Alice in Wonderland.
