An evening of Music and Dance with Metropolitan Ballet Company & Settlement Music School

Cutting-edge choreography and live music are the cornerstone of this vibrant evening of music and dance. The 90-minute tour de force features musical ensembles, soloists, original works for dancers and musicians, and will include three exciting contemporary premieres by guest choreographers Tommie‐Waheed Evans of PHILADANCO!, NYC choreographer/ Alvin Ailey Company dancer, Kanji Segawa, and NYC choreographer/MBC Alumna Sarah Mettin.

Admission: $15 in Advance / $18 at the Door
Run time is 90 minutes, including one intermission.

Metropolitan Ballet Company (MBC) presents repertoire works and joins students from our parent school, Metropolitan Ballet Academy. These are high-quality, professional level performances open to the community. With 402 seats, The Muller Auditorium in Abington, Pennsylvania provides an ideal, intimate setting.

Ruby gets a princess-worthy lesson on manners in this charming ballet adapted from the picture book by #1 New York Times best-selling, Fancy Nancy illustrator, Robin Preiss Glasser, and author Sarah Ferguson, The Duchess of York. David Lichine’s Graduation Ball, the classic comedy ballet in one act, will complete this action-packed program, sure to delight children of all ages.

Join us for this outstanding program of music and dance in collaboration with Settlement Music School. Settlement Music School students will perform with Metropolitan Ballet’s 30-member classical dance company in a 90 minute tour de force, featuring musical ensembles, soloists, original works for dancers and musicians, and exciting contemporary dance works by NYC choreographers Kanji Segawa and Sarah Mettin, and PHILADANCO!’s Tommie Waheed Evans.
